The COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test Kit comes with all the necessary materials, including the sample collection sterilized swab, an extraction tube, a buffer solution, a work station, and a test cassette. The following are the instructions for using the test kit:
- Open the kit and assemble the extraction tube in the work station.
- Open the lid of the buffer solution and add all the contents in the extraction tube.
- Place the tip of the nasal swab into the nostril and rotate the swab back and forth for 10-15 seconds.
- Once the sample is collected, insert the swab into the extraction tube
- Rotate the swab inside the extraction tube and let it stay for a minute.
- Gently transfer 3 drops of the specimen in the extraction tube to the specimen well of the test cassette.
- Evaluate the results after 10-15 minutes.
If two purple lines appear in the test window, this indicates a positive result for the presence of SARS-CoV-2. If only one purple line appears, this indicates a negative result for the presence of the virus. If no lines appear, this indicates an invalid result and the test should be repeated.
